What are the pet travel requirements for different Australian states?
Each Australian state has different pet travel requirements, especially for certain breeds, exotic pets, and biosecurity risks. For example:
Western Australia has restriction on certain reptiles and birds. Other animals may require an inspection before entry to the State.
Tasmania requires hydatid tapeworm for dogs.
Queensland restricts certain wildlife species from entry.
Most states will require permits to move native wildlife.
