Tail Travel collects your personal information such as name, phone number, email address, address or licence details and/or your signature only when it has been voluntarily submitted by you, our customer/s (or potential customer/s).
The collected information will be used for respective services, which can include: our website, requesting a quote for the transportation of your pet, booking services on your behalf, request of information for a general enquiry, or request to complete a survey on your customer experience.

If you willingly send us your personal information through email, our official website, to an employee of Tail Travel, on any of our electronic forums or social media handles, we will deem that you have submitted your data voluntarily for our usage and response. Additionally, we may receive your personal information through third parties, which include Airlines, relevant airline operators, government authorities, customs, immigration, industry associations and service partners that are a part of your booking process.
Personal information will be retained if it is required for necessary processing. Post-processing, the personal information will be retained for a certain period to enable us to handle or respond to any complaints, queries, or concerns relating to your booking.
Before sending out any marketing initiatives and communication, you will be asked whether you prefer to opt-in to receive such updates using your personal information. You will also be provided to opt-out of the preference of receiving such updates at any time. Please be aware that Tail Travel occasionally sends marketing communications that promote a third party’s products and services of our partners and also of our own.
If you wish to no longer receive marketing communication and related updates, you have a few opt-out options. Each marketing initiative will have an ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of the email page which will allow you to stop receiving further marketing emails. We aim to stop marketing communications within 14 working days of receiving your cease request. As a booking agent for several airlines it is important to understand that we have to share your details with various other companies.
To make a booking with any of our preferred airlines then we are required to enter the senders and receivers personal details. In certain instances, we may share your personal information with government agencies or any other third-party suppliers that are assisting us to complete any stage of the transportation process of your pet. The information provided will be the personal information you have willingly submitted. Only when there is a legitimate reason for the use of your data, it will be shared and/or used.
We may supply personal information when the law of state within Australia requires us to do so and take a strong stance on wildlife smuggling. We will cooperate with authorities to the fullest where there is a suspicion of animal smuggling, native animals transported without permits or any other offence under the wildlife act of each state.
We may also use other businesses to perform certain services for us, such as maintaining our site and our email services and processing inquiries. Personal information gathered will be submitted to the businesses when the information is necessary for either completing a transaction or for performing their duties.
